Introduction to disposable electronic cigarettes

Jun 06, 2025

Disposable electronic cigarettes refer to electronic cigarettes that do not require charging or replacement of cartridges and are discarded after one use.
Disposable electronic cigarettes are an integrated structure. The battery and atomizer are inseparable. The atomizer cannot be repeatedly refilled with oil, and the battery cannot be recharged. The corresponding number of puffs is determined by the battery capacity and the volume of the oil. The fully enclosed design eliminates the need for charging and replacing cartridges. Most of them are triggered by pneumatic switches, which are simple and easy to use, easy to carry, and do not require charging, replacement of cartridges, or carrying heavy chargers and other accessories. They have diverse flavors and attractive appearance. In 2004, the first electronic cigarette product to appear on the market was disposable electronic cigarettes. Starting from May 1, 2022, the "Electronic Cigarette Management Measures" will prohibit the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes other than tobacco flavors and electronic cigarettes that can add atomizers by themselves; it is prohibited to sell electronic cigarette products to minors; starting from July, media such as The Guardian have emphasized the danger of disposable electronic cigarettes being rampant among teenagers. On October 24, 2024, the British government announced that the sale and supply of disposable electronic cigarettes will be banned in England from June 1, 2025 [9]. In January 2025, Belgium began to ban the sale of disposable electronic cigarettes; on February 13 (local time), the French Ministry of Health issued a communiqué stating that the French Parliament had passed a bill to completely ban the sale and production of disposable electronic cigarettes in the country.
Electronic cigarette liquid contains harmful substances such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, and aerosols also contain toxic substances. Heavy metal elements such as tin, copper, nickel, and arsenic can be detected in aerosols. As heavy metal elements accumulate in the body, they can cause damage to human health, especially the nervous system. The state explicitly prohibits the sale of flavored electronic cigarettes other than tobacco flavors. For the illegal production and sale of fruit-flavored electronic cigarettes, it is necessary not only to increase the crackdown, but also to build a "firewall" for public safety.
